The client is a well-known logistics company in the Philippines, specializing in warehousing and distribution services for the e-commerce and retail industries. With the rapid growth of their business, the client urgently needed to build a modern warehouse center to enhance storage capacity and distribution efficiency. The client outlined several core requirements for the project:
High Storage Capacity: The warehouse center needs to accommodate a large volume of goods while supporting efficient sorting and distribution.
Typhoon-resistant Design: The Philippines is a typhoon-prone area, and the building must be able to withstand strong winds and heavy rain.
Cost Control: The project must minimize costs while ensuring high quality.
These requirements placed high demands on the design and construction of the project, and our team, with its rich experience and professional expertise, successfully addressed the client’s challenges.
Challenge 1: High Storage Capacity and Efficient Logistics Design
The client needed to store a large quantity of goods in the warehouse while also supporting efficient sorting and distribution. Maximizing space utilization without affecting logistics efficiency was a major design challenge.
Our Solution:
-
Multi-tier Shelving System: We designed a multi-tier shelving system to fully utilize vertical space, significantly increasing storage capacity.
-
Optimized Logistics Channels: We planned primary logistics channels with a width of 10 meters and secondary channels with a width of 5 meters, ensuring smooth passage for large transport vehicles and forklifts.
-
Intelligent Sorting System: We installed automated sorting equipment to improve the efficiency of goods sorting and distribution.
The client highly recognized our design, stating that we not only met the storage requirements but also greatly improved logistics efficiency.
Challenge 2: Typhoon Resistance and Extreme Weather Design
The Philippines is a typhoon-prone area, and the client was concerned that strong winds and heavy rain could affect the building’s safety and lifespan.
Our Solution:
-
High-strength Steel: We selected Q355B high-strength steel as the main structural material. Q355B steel has excellent strength and toughness, allowing it to withstand the impact of strong winds and heavy rain.
-
Wind-resistant Design: Using 3D modeling and wind tunnel simulation, we optimized the building’s structural design to ensure it could endure the wind loads of a typhoon.
-
Waterproof and Drainage System: We incorporated an efficient drainage system into the roof design to ensure there were no water accumulation problems during heavy rainfall.
The client highly praised our typhoon-resistant design, recognizing that we thoroughly considered the local climate’s particularities and addressed their concerns.
